The new carrier hotels - TelX at 60 Hudson, and Telehouse at 25 Broadway -- are located in New York City, and enable InterServer to connect and share data with hundreds of other data networks with presences at the facilities.
"From a network administration standpoint, our new presence at these two carrier hotels represents a huge step forward and enables our network to send and receive data to other networks on much shorter route," says John Quaglieri, InterServer's CTO. "We are fortunate as a company to be geographically close to such dense and high-capacity infrastructure in the New York City area."
InterServer added a gigabit connection to East Coast neutral Internet exchange points NYIIX as a peering point. It has also upgraded its PAIX peering connection to a gigabit line after 3 months to meet increased demand. As part of the addition, InterServer is offering free 1mbps bandwidth at TelX, Telehouse, and its existing provider, Switch and Data. The company is also offering premium IP data transit up to 1000mbps at these locations.
