I used to speak highly of x10 hosting but I can no longer do so in good conscience. I used them for years but recent events have forced my hand. Over the 4 years that I've had a site hosted (a site with about 5 static, informational pages) with them I've experienced far more problems than good things. There have been times when I've loaded up my website and a completely different website has been displayed. The time that it takes to log in, navigate, or change anything has increased dramatically. As many others have mentioned, when they changed their vpn detection I was suddenly not able to access my account from the same device and network I had been using the whole time. That issue was fortunately resolved, however suddenly my account has been "associated with an account that is breaking the rules" and my access has been revoked. I emailed their support team and their reply was essentially "the network you use has been associated with another account in violation of our terms." So because of inefficient technology, not only is my current account now defunct, but because it's "the network I use" (I have historically logged in from different locations, some of them more public networks) any future accounts I would try to create from home would also potentially be flagged. Unreal! And they even have a service that they expect people to pay for!
