Not sure how has worked with this small company, they may have grate ratings but they have BAD staff with very bad attitudes, I am a reseller with them, I have now been trying to get a restore done of one of my customers.. . the support ticket has been logged 10 hours back, I have phoned them a number of times and they just do not care at all about you or your problems. Spoke to Jonathon he basically told me to bugger off and wait. He will do things when they have time.

Sorry but this is a not how business is done in these hard times.

I wanted to comment on Denny's complaint, I reviewed his ticket to ensure that our technical support department acted appropriately in this manner. Denny's business is in South Africa which is why there was a slight delay in getting back to him, the issue he had in terms of a client backup off the server would need to have a tier 3 admin take care of that. We have admins who are employed around the clock but the after hours admins (Midnight - 8am PST) are employed to take care of the servers and make sure that they are running properly and that the nightly backups are taking place as they should.

As with all our customers and resellers we recommend that they backup their own web site files at every opportunity so that they can have a local backup and to not rely solely on the backups on our servers. We have an FAQ regarding this instructing all our clients to backup to their own machines:

We do take nightly backups of all our servers to ensure that in the event of a server failure that we would have a backup of the entire file system and it is not intended to be a system which will restore one off customer files if for instance they make a mistake in their hosting account, again we recommend that each customer keep a backup of their own files for them to make restores.

Having said that I would like to address the issue of Denny's complaint about Jonathan. Jonathan was an employee who was knowledgable however for was let go from our company. He was let go prior to january 1 2010 which makes Denny's complaint strange since it was posted well over 3 weeks after Jonathan was dismissed. In any event we have continued to communicate with Denny and he remains a reseller customer of Green Geeks.
