Back in 2012, Carbonite started providing SMB cloud backup and kept on evolving. Later, they started offering email backup and archiving, enterprise server backup, data migration options and enterprise endpoint backup.
Initially they used mozy.com which was delivering the next generation of integrated cloud data protection and administrative tools for large and small businesses.
The company specializes in backup cloud services. The following backup options are included in the plans:
- Unlimited backup;
- Automatic file and photo backup;
- Automatic video backup (except for the basic plan);
- External hard drive backup (except for the basic plan);
Other than the entry-level plan, the rest of the plans include Webroot computer antivirus. It is only the advanced-level plan that includes courier delivery of recovered files.

Cyber Security Company Carbonite Acquires Webroot For $618.5M in Cash - Carbonite (carbonite.com), Inc.
